When Religion is Considered Dead

In this episode, I consider the modern times in which we’re living, with the universal dominating assumption that religion is an invention that should be abandoned. But look at where people are today who have left religion. I consider the logic, reason and consistency of claims of the modern “liberated” person. Just when human nature should be feeling most liberated—free from the controls and oppression of religion—people don't seem to be happier. There is a sense of disillusionment. People feel like they should be happier than ever, and yet when they pursue happiness, it's not satisfying. That is one of the hallmarks of a material, temporal world view. It seems always to fail. We need to see if there's an alternative way to look at the world.
