Alien 3 - Really That Awful? - Episode 193
This week, we are diving head first into spooky season by analyzing what arguably might be the lowest point of The Alien Franchise (not counting Resurrection, Alien Vs. Predator, Prometheus.....or Alien Covenant) and what might be the lowest point of David Fincher's career. We are of course talking about 1992's Alien 3. A movie that takes all the things you loved about Alien and Aliens and dumps it into a toilet bowl full of brown depressing poo. A movie that suffers from some of the most notorious cases of studio meddling combined with massive lack of direction that can be traced to the simple act of idea generation for a sequel. But does this film deserve the marker of being the worst in the series? Are there redeeming factors that can be gleaned after nearly 30 years since it's release?
