He is the author of the best-selling Historical Atlas of the Pacific Northwest, which sold over 30,000 copies; the Historical Atlas of Canada, and Canada: An Illustrated History, and other fascinating historical books. Renowned historian, he brings colourful past to life through stunning maps, rare historical documents and rich stories. Trained as a geographer at the University of Hull in England and at the University of British Columbia, he worked for a time as a planner with the Vancouver City Planning Department.
