Garret began work as an assistant editor on television projects like The Ultimate Fighter and American Hot Rod, as well as the crime-drama series, Guilty or Innocent?. Garret then moved into animation as an editor on programs like Moral Orel and the Robot Chicken series.More recent animation projects Garret has worked on include: Mary Shelley's Frankenhole and TripTank.Garret has also recently worked as an editor on the Golden Globe and Oscar nominated stop-motion animated feature film Anomalisa.
