Lee is a frequent collaborator with&nbsp;Apichatpong Weerasethakul&nbsp;(known as Joe)&nbsp;and other Thai independent film directors, but has also worked on commercial films, including the hit Thai horror film, Shutter. Lee has worked with Joe&nbsp;on four films: Blissfully Yours, Tropical Malady, Syndromes and a Century, and Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, each film having an unconventional use of the narrative film structure to tell a story. At the inaugural Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong,&nbsp;Lee&nbsp;won the Best Editor award for Syndromes and a Century.
