Surprising melodic infects, and the result is a blast. 20:02-25:06 DAWNWALKER (UK) The Cataclysm — A heavy dose of spectrum-sliding vocals slicing my heart. Post-metal interrupted by a proggy death also creates a really spectacular sound. Ooo-la-la, don my beret mofos. 33:33-41:27 EMPRESS (CAN) Hiraeth — Beautiful and soulful with incredibly passionate singing, and metal guitars that break from post-metal into stoner sludge and bouts of black. 41:51-45:54 THE DEVIANT (Norway) It Has a Name — Ex-lead singer of Gehenna within a frosted wintry scowling Norwegian forest black metal. 46:57-53:45 RESPIRE (CAN) Catacombs Part II — A massive collective including violin, trumpet and saxophone to melt that metal heart. 53:55-END DARKENHÖLD (France) Mystique de la Vouivre — Medieval folk and epic melodic black metal, it’s badass.
