He is known for his service to the&amp;nbsp;British South Africa Company&amp;nbsp;and to the&amp;nbsp;British Army&amp;nbsp;in&amp;nbsp;colonial Africa, and for teaching&amp;nbsp;woodcraft&amp;nbsp;to&amp;nbsp;Robert Baden-Powell&amp;nbsp;in&amp;nbsp;Rhodesia.
