Musashi, as he was often simply known, is considered a&amp;amp;nbsp;Kensei, a sword-saint of Japan.[3]&amp;amp;nbsp;He was the founder of the&amp;amp;nbsp;Niten Ichi-ryū, or Nito Ichi-ryū, style of swordsmanship, and in his final years authored&amp;amp;nbsp;The Book of Five Rings&amp;amp;nbsp;(五輪の書,&amp;amp;nbsp;Go Rin No Sho)&amp;amp;nbsp;and&amp;amp;nbsp;Dokkōdō&amp;amp;nbsp;(獨行道,&amp;amp;nbsp;The Path of Aloneness).
