  <title>110828-1030-Loran Livingston - Come To Him</title>
  <description>
2011-08-28-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning August 28th 2011 in the 10:30 service.
Scripture: I John 1:8-10; 2:1-2
Topic: Sin
Notes:
- Sin is why Christ died; man disobeyed God, trying to draw life from something other than God and man&amp;amp;rsquo;s spirit died- Emotions and feelings now control man; the human race is confused &amp;amp;amp; twisted- On the cross God reconciled man to God; we are new creations, living by the Spirit and in the sanctifying process- Eternal salvation: He started it and He will finish it; your condemnation is removed forever but temptation remains- Example: hurricane Irene... power and dominion (of sin) gone but influence remains- Temptation is a proof that I am saved; it&amp;amp;rsquo;s not my fault that I&amp;amp;rsquo;m tempted but I have the power to not give in- Some think they don&amp;amp;rsquo;t sin... thinking of sins of commission (obvious sins), but sins of omission remain, not doing the good we know to do- Not praying for our President and other authoritative leaders is a sin of omission- When you sin, don&amp;amp;rsquo;t stare at it; it came out of your heart but don&amp;amp;rsquo;t grieve too long over it; run to Jesus- The enemy wants to keep you from God&amp;amp;rsquo;s forgiveness as long as possible; the longer you wait, the longer your relationship with Jesus will be disrupted and disturbed
