  <title>AM092 - Assistive Technology for Diabetes</title>
  <description>Show Notes
Hi folks. Welcome to &amp;amp;ldquo;Accessibility Minute&amp;amp;rdquo;, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology&amp;amp;mdash;those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
Many people have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. &amp;amp;nbsp; With that disease often comes vision impairment or other disabilities. &amp;amp;nbsp;Until there is a cure, there are all kinds of assistive technology devices to help people with diabetes and limited vision. &amp;amp;nbsp; Some of the more popular assistive technologies in this category include:
Talking blood glucose meters, talking blood pressure cuffs, large print blood sugar log, syringe magnifier, medication labelers, &amp;amp;amp; talking bathroom scales. &amp;amp;nbsp;Check our show notes for a link to some of them.
