It started with an OLD, off-yellow wooden door from years of weather and wear. It used to hang in my Dad\u2019s workshop in the upstairs of our barn. Having passed through that door countless numbers of times as I found old wood in Dad\u2019s shop, and plenty of wood, saws, hammers, and nails to create the desires of my heart \u2014 to say this door is special is an understatement! After my parents\u2019 passing that sacred door spoke to me in a profound way, and I simply couldn\u2019t leave the old door behind as I left our family farm for the final time. It\u2019s sat in my storage unit for the past couple years, and I decided it was time it reflected not only my past, but my present, as well as future. It\u2019ll continue to be a reflection of my \u201cthen\u201d and \u201cnow.\u201d It\u2019s also the beginning of my next chapter. My S.O.L. romance with my MAN(hattan.) Since my lovely Blondie (my Land Rover Discovery) blew up a couple weeks ago, I\u2019ve been using the brilliant services of Lyft and Uber. After leaving the Glass Design shop I hopped into a Lyft to my next destination. Craig was my driver. And as it turned out, my entertainment for approximately 15 minutes of airtime. He discovered his daughter, Sara, could sing when she was 16 years old. He encouraged her to get up on stage and sing\u2026even though neither of them really knew she could sing. But he told her this, \u201cYou have an interesting voice. It\u2019s YOUR voice.\u201d Then he told her that he believed in her. YOU, too, have an interesting voice, because it\u2019s YOUR own. Please NEVER forget this! It\u2019s been there since the very beginning. A voice of your past, present, and future \u2014 while speaking into all three. The only way you\u2019ll know your story is if you open your heart, mind, and mouth\u2026AND SPEAK. Open up the doors of your heart. AND. SING. Your heart\u2019s song.
