After earning a medical degree in Tennessee, he quickly returned to UK and Kentucky \u2013 his home away from home \u2013 for post-graduate training.  Davis\u2019 training led him into forensic pathology, a field of medicine that focuses on determining the cause of death through post-mortem examinations and autopsies.
