Star Trek was returning, and being a Trekkie was being validated with a major motion picture in the theaters. For Gene Roddenberry there had to be a feeling of relief and exhilaration, as well.&amp;nbsp;He had been through so much frustration during the decade as he tried to bring Star Trek.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Finally, it was up there, on the big screen.
