A false memory is a psychological phenomenon where a person recalls something that did not happen or differently from the way it happened.\u201d According to paranormal researcher Fiona Broome, the Mandela effect occurs whenever a vivid personal memory is found to conflict with the historical record. Broome recalls TV reports from around 1980 that Nelson Mandela had died in prison. Naturally, she was surprised to learn of his release and election as president of South Africa in 1994. When she shared this experience with friends at Dragon Con, she learned that others had had similar \u201cfalse memories.\u201d But for others, according to Mandelaeffect.com, it\u2019s \u201cThe Mandela Effect is evidence that you may have experienced events from a different reality. Finding others with similar memories can affirm that.\u201d   Causes of the Mandela Effect   The existence of Parallel Universes (according to Quantum Physicists) False Memory and \u201cFuzzy Trace Theory\u201d - A very hard to explain theory of the formation of memories in individuals, where the semantics of a memory are formed separately from the actual event due to the way in which our brain processes common occurrences within that memory (\u201ca truck drove by, it was a blue truck\u201d is stored in a different part of the memory). https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fuzzy-trace_theory The CERN Theory: Some think more of these incidents have occurred since CERN was established, and suggest that its particle physics experiments are causing the world to shift into parallel universes. People are recalling the original reality, which is why there is divergent thought according to the believers. Worse yet, some theorists believe that \u201cour\u201d universe was destroyed in 2012. When it comes to the Mandela effect, many examples are attributable to so-called \u201cschema-driven errors\u201d. Schemas are organized \u201cpackets\u201d of knowledge that direct memory. In this way, schemas facilitate understanding of the material but can produce distortion. Frederic Bartlett outlined this process in his 1932 book Remembering. Barlett read the Canadian Indian folktale War of the Ghosts to participants. He found that listeners omitted unfamiliar details and transformed information to make it more understandable. If this is a \u201cphase out\u201d or intentional shifting of our perceptions (aka a giant industrial military test) does this mean the \u201cresiduals\u201d and people experiencing residuals have some sort of immunity? If we\u2019re all \u201cdead\u201d and people have residuals, is the veil thinner for them, are they the ones in some sort of purgatory or thinner \u201clayer\u201d of death? Rational Concerns: If you have too many residuals that you\u2019ve experienced, does that mean you suffer from mental weakness or mental illness? Does it mean you just have a really bad memory and need to go to the doctor or take more vitamins? Does it mean you grew up or spent most of your life in an area where information did not spread correctly? (i.e. what \u201ccolor\u201d was the inventor of the cotton gin, Eli Whitney? Why put his invention in \u201cBlack History Month\u201d if he was a white dude?)     Examples of the Mandela Effect:   BerenSTEIN vs BerenSTAIN Bears JIF vs JIFFY, the dot in Kit Kat is missing Nelson Mandela dying in the 1980s, Nelson Mandela dying in 1993, Nelson Mandela dying at other points in history. Movies: \u201cLuke I am your Father\u201d \u201cMirror Mirror on the Wall\u201d     Are there people unaffected by the Mandela Effect?   There are theories that some people are not affected by or have some sort of keen awareness of what\u2019s really going on. Some theorists believe people like Donald Trump (John George Trump, MIT professor is his uncle and was involved in CERN), Jim Carrey (is aware that we are living in a construct full of errors), and Time Travelers (Matt McConnaughy, Pharell Williams, Keanu Reeves) accidentally discovered the paradigm shift and are trapped here with us.   What do you think?
