So we are just getting in early. After all the\nintent of book club is to encourage reading.\n \nAnd on that note before we get into today\u2019s conversation I\njust want to remind you that there is a full transcript of the\ninterview available on the shows web site -http:\/\/Blackstump.FM\nThe link is active in the show notes on your podcast\nplayer.\n \nThe reason I made a point of reminding you about that at the\ntop of the show is that there are some patchy parts of the audio\ntoday, and you might need to refer to the transcript to better\nunderstand the meaning.\n \nMy guest today brings learning and experience form the\nmilitary into the corporate world of BC and resilience. Of\nparticular interest to me is his focus on resilience as a cultural\noutcome. Our industry has been plagued with ex-military folks\npromoting their versions of command and control models for many\nyears - but here are some different perspectives. Perspectives that\nare derived form research, as well as experience - and more\nimportantly perspectives that are alive and shifting as the world\nmoves.\n \nIdeas and practices that adapt - might be a good way to\ndescribe preparations for improving resilience.\nSo join me as I discuss these ideas with Aaron Gracey.\n \nLinks for this show\n\n\nAaron's LinkedIn profile\n\nBlack Swans Vs Organisational Resilience \n\nLinkedIn index page to all Aaron's posts\nSquared Apples on\nTwitter\n\nBCI World 2014 Presentation\nResOrgs\nTorrens\nInstitute\nCoutu\n"How Resilience works" HBR\nStarfish\nand the Spider\n\n\n\n \nThanks for staying with us, and I hope the audio (and the\naccents) were not too hard to follow.\nIf there is anything here that you want to explore further,\nwhy not come over to the Black Stump LinkedIn community and join\nthe discussion. I am sure we can get Aaron to engage in\nconversation with you. You can also go comment on any of his\narticles liked in the Show Notes.\n \nJoin me next week as I preview the Australasian BC Summit and\ngive you a challenge to complete during the month.\n","author_name":"Beyond the Black Stump","author_url":"http:\/\/blackstump.fm","html":"<\/iframe>","thumbnail_url":"https:\/\/assets.libsyn.com\/secure\/item\/4329239"}
