Previously, Lura served as president of the Independent Center and spent seven years as a marketing professor, studying social perception\u2014including why we humanize brands and products while dehumanizing other people. She writes How to Human, a newsletter about relationships and the social fabric of everyday life, and co-hosts the podcast We Made This Political.
