She served as an integrator on several deals \u2014 inside the due diligence, close to the moment a business changes hands \u2014 guiding people and organizations through transition and transformation. Then her own role ended \u2014 not on her terms. She walked out of that meeting feeling like she'd left a coat at the door. Over the emptying weeks that followed, she realized how much of who she thought she was had been the coat. The title. The brand. The identity she'd worn without noticing. She knows first-hand the particular silence of a calendar that suddenly clears. That's the terrain she now walks with founders who are exiting their business.
