This one comes to us from St. Paul, MN, on August 6, 1982. It\u2019s an energetic show with a tight ensemble throughout. Jerry is playing at a high level, and Brent, along with the rest of the band, is right there with him. There\u2019s a lot to like here, but one of the highlights for me is the 10+ minute \u201cBird Song,\u201d which flows nicely into \u201cEl Paso.\u201d I\u2019m also partial to the \u201cLazy Lightnin\u2019 > Supplication,\u201d where Garcia adds some particularly nice color in his solos. It\u2019s a solid first set, and I think you\u2019ll enjoy it.
