The comparison trap on social media. The "what if" that hasn't happened and might never happen. We hand our focus over to noise, and while we're distracted, the path meant for us — the one carved out specifically for our feet — starts to fade into the background. But it doesn't have to disappear all at once. Maybe now would be a good time to consider why presence changes everything. Because the loss of focus is more like a slow dimming. One day you look up, and you can't quite remember the last time you felt like you were headed somewhere. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? And discouragement is patient — it will wait as long as it needs to until you settle. Not because settling is what you want, but because you're standing in a sticky situation with no clear next step, and staying still feels safer than moving blindly. Here's the truth though: you were never meant to walk this path blindly. What If You Could See the Path Again? What if you had the foresight to actually walk the journey meant for you — not someone else's version of it, not the one you assumed you should want, but yours? What if you could check in with yourself the way you'd check a map — pause, look around, confirm you're still headed the right direction — and from that check-in, make small shifts before you've drifted too far off course? That's not a fantasy. That's presence. Presence is the difference between wandering and walking with intention. It's the quiet skill of noticing where you actually are, instead of where you assume you are or wish you were. And it's available to you right now, in this very moment, regardless of how far off the path you feel. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo That's not just an encouraging phrase — it's a strategy. Greatness isn't reached in leaps. It's reached one honest, present step after another. But you can only take an honest step if you know where your feet actually are. The Path Lights Up as You Walk It Proverbs 4:18 says, "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day." Notice what this verse doesn't say. It doesn't say the path is fully lit from the start. It says the light grows — brighter and brighter — as you walk. You are not required to see the whole road today. You're only required to be present enough to see the next few feet in front of you, and take them. So let me ask you directly: Where are you headed today? Where do your actions — not your intentions, your actual actions — direct you? If you're honest, are they leading you toward the life you say you want? Or are they leading you toward comfort, distraction, or avoidance dressed up as busyness? Presence is the answer to your journey. Not perfection. Not certainty. Presence. The willingness to show up in your own life and actually look around. The K.I.S.S. ~ Stay present on your own path! So, where are you showing up in your own life? And where have you gone quietly missing? Three Things You Can Do to Stay Present on Your Path If you want your path to remain visible — if you want to catch the drift before it becomes a full detour — here are three things you can start doing today. 1. Do a daily location check. Before your day gets away from you, ask: Where am I right now — emotionally, mentally, spiritually? And does that match where I want to be headed? This isn't about judgment. It's about awareness. You can't correct a course you refuse to look at. 2. Let your calendar tell the truth. Look at how you actually spent yesterday. Not how you meant to spend it — how you did. Your calendar and your habits are the most honest journal you own. If they don't match your stated direction, that's not failure. That's information. Use it. 3. Create a checkpoint, not just a goal. Goals live far in the future. Checkpoints live this week. Set a small, specific marker — something you can look back on in seven days and ask, "Did I move toward my path, or away from it?" A checkpoint keeps you present because it's close enough to actually see. None of these require a total life overhaul. They require attention. And attention, sustained over time, is what presence actually looks like. You don't need to see the whole path today. You need to be present enough to see the next step — and brave enough to take it. CHALLENGE: Where in your life have you been present in appearance only — going through the motions — while your actual attention has drifted somewhere else? What would it look like to show up fully, starting today? "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
