Because of this, experts had speculated that his intention in giving the speech would be to calm the panic surrounding the oil crisis. However, his confusing statements only served to create more panic. In one instance, the price of crude oil jumped suddenly as Trump threatened to \u201cblast Iran back to the Stone Ages,\u201d despite saying weeks ago that his main concern was the wellbeing of the Iranian people.
