Er studierte am Shri Nalanda Institut in Rumtek \/ Sikkim die buddhistische Lehre und Philosophie. Anschliessend unterrichtete er am Karma Lekshey Ling Institut in Kathmandu. Danach absolvierte er das traditionelle Drei \u2013 Jahres \u2013 Retreat im Kloster Pullahari in Nepal.
