It\u2019s officially the two-week Hysterectomy-aversary! I\u2019m loving my walking pad. And I have to also remember to rest. On top of my walking pad, I\u2019m also finding ways to move like getting my kids ready for school and the usual morning routine. AH! I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m writing about my comfort show, Project Runway, and it\u2019s coming back (as of the time of this episode\u2019s release, summer 2025)! Speaking of fashion, sweatpants and comfy shirts were my favorite outfit for recovery, as well as the abdominal binder. It\u2019s also wild not to have my heating pad on all the time, and I\u2019m surprised how high I had to turn it up. I certainly don\u2019t require that much warmth now. Johnny Cash never had a hysterectomy, but if he did, I know what he might sing! I\u2019m going to have to talk to my doctor at tomorrow\u2019s appointment to see if I should still track my cycles. I still have my ovaries, so I\u2019m assuming the hormones are still doing their thing. Want to activate your throat chakra? I can\u2019t remember what new age influencer I follow who told me about the little trick I talk about in this episode, but it sure is fun! I talk a little about the cost for the procedure. I didn\u2019t grow up with that knowledge and my husband did, and I\u2019m glad one of us is able to make sense of it. (I can now, but in my 20s and early 30s, this was not something I was familiar with enough to use my own benefits.) I can tell my husband (although he\u2019s the best!) is starting to feel the strain of being the one to do everything around the house and for the kids, so I\u2019m looking forward to next week\u2019s episode where I get to tell you about the 2-week follow-up appointment!
