That they\u2019re here to serve us. That they somehow OWE us. To perform when we tell them to. To fit into these narrow boxes of what \u201chealthy\u201d and \u201cacceptable\u201d look like.  And when they don\u2019t? We judge. We criticize. We ignore. We disconnect. How many times have you caught yourself thinking things like: - \u201cI\u2019ll rest only if I see everything done.\u201d - \u201cI\u2019ll love my body only if it gets pregnant.\u201d - \u201cI\u2019ll trust it only if it behaves how the doctor wants it to.\u201d That\u2019s the transactional thinking I\u2019m talking about. It says to your body (who by the way, is a living, breathing ecosystem) \u201cI will only be in a relationship with you, if you give me what I want\u201d\u2014and that\u2019s not how I think you actually WANT to be in relationship with your body  When we stop fighting against our bodies, when we stop seeing them as broken or unworthy of love UNTIL "fill in the blank"  then we open up a space for healing\u2014physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
