As we have done before with the 80th Anniversaries of famous parts of the Great Patriotic War such as the Victory at Stalingrad, Battle of Kursk and Liberation of Ukraine, we will hold a class to study this siege and honor those who fought to hold off the fascists from Leningrad for nearly 900 days. Over 1.5 million people lost their lives during this siege. We will be using the \u201cSiege of Leningrad\u201d film from the Soviet Film Archive project of US Friends of the Soviet People for parts of the class.
