Farley was inspired by Equinox and its effects artists \u2014 David Allen, Dennis Muren, and Jim Danforth \u2014 and has studied the film in depth. He even recreated models of some of the film\u2019s stop-motion creatures and the supernatural ring introduced in the 1970 theatrical release.
