And for extra hypocrisy, you can’t beat the refusal to report on the substance of yet another round of hacked Trump campaign documents. Oh, and speaking of Project 2025, isn’t it wild how much traction a campaign white paper is able to get, all of a sudden? Credit for that goes, among various reports, to Taraji Henson, John Oliver and in part, to Don Moynihan. And speaking (as we were) of hypocrisies, in Breaking Hypocrisy news: RFK Jr. is simultaneously suing to get both on and off of the ballot, depending (I guess) on which helps Trump more. And when it comes to lawsuits like this, it’s weirdos all the way down. Hey, remember a couple of days ago when another guy tried to shoot Trump? Well, there’s something extra weird about that, too. He might be… something other than just a lone kook. Oh, and by the way, this show is sometimes about Congressional procedure. And sometimes the House Republicans actually try to proceed with things, upon which we then make comment. Turns out that Speaker Johnson’s “Plan B” in the Rules Committee was just a time waster, so as not to go directly to Plan C — i.e., the one for which Republicans ousted Kevin McCarthy. Today is the first day since yesterday that there was no excuse to say the words, “Nude Africa.” But that’s only because the Mark Robinson sex scandal of the day was about a place called, “Lords of Porn.” Meanwhile, back in the real world, Jack Smith is getting set to file a kind of tell-all brief, in support of the superseding indictment in the January 6th case. And he needs 180 pages to do it, because it’s likely so chock-full of damning evidence that demonstrates the non-official nature of Trump’s crimes. Trump, of course, is set to demand that SCOTUS save him at the last minute, again. No, they’re not in session. And no, there’s no basis for it whatsoever. In fact, SCOTUS ordered that exactly this be done. But Trump needs saving, so logic may have nothing to do with it.
