Freedom always comes with a price.    B    John 12:24 \u2013 \u201cJesus said, \u2018Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.\u2019\u201d C    Here\u2019s an ironic paradox about death: \u201cDeath, as terrible as it is, in some cases, brings life.\u201d In other words, the death of one thing sometimes brings life to another.\u201d       Every Memorial Day weekend at Crossgate Church, we take time to remind ourselves that \u201cFreedom isn\u2019t free,\u201d and we do that along two lines.  \u00b7    First, we remind ourselves that \u201cnational freedom isn\u2019t free.\u201d Our national freedom has been bought and paid for by the blood of patriots and heroes. \u00b7    Second, we remind ourselves that \u201cspiritual freedom isn\u2019t free.\u201d Our spiritual freedom has been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross.   ","author_name":"Crossgate Church Podcasts","author_url":"http:\/\/crossgate.libsyn.com","html":"
