They replied: \u201cWe decline as we feel this debate is a distraction. The reason is that we see no good scientific evidence for replacing any source of added pure fat with another. It's not the right question.\u201d Since there\u2019s so much interest, and clearly that opinion is not defensible\u2014probably why they avoided the debate!\u2014Raphael Sirtoli volunteered to take the con side of a debate, topic: \u201cDoctors Should Tell Patients that High Linoleic Acid Seed Oils are Unhealthy\u201d This was a debate proposition that Raphi had suggested recently, and it had also been declined.
