{"version":1,"type":"rich","provider_name":"Libsyn","provider_url":"https:\/\/www.libsyn.com","height":90,"width":600,"title":"Red Letters Day 10 Luke 6:1-16","description":"The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath&amp;nbsp;   Jesus was going through the grainfields and his disciples began to eat some of the kernels from the grain&amp;nbsp;   God had commanded&amp;nbsp; the Sabbath to be a time of rest and no work no labor&amp;nbsp;   The Pharisees asked them why they were doing something unlawful on the Sabbath&amp;nbsp;   Jesus answered them with Word about David and his companions eating the consecrated bread which was unlawful b\/c it was only for the priest&amp;nbsp;   He then tells them The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath ( he wass affirming his deity he was the Lord who created the Sabbaath and had the authority to make exceptioon&amp;nbsp;   On another Sabbath, he was teaching in the synagogue and a man whose right hand was shriveled&amp;nbsp;   The Pharisees were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath&amp;nbsp;   Jesus knew what they were thinking&amp;nbsp;   &amp;nbsp; Get Up and Stand in Front of Everyone&amp;nbsp;   Jesus tells the man with the shriveled hand to Get Up and stand in front of everyone   So he gets up and stands there&amp;nbsp;   Jesus asked them two questions&amp;nbsp;   Which is lawful on the Sabbath: To do good or to do evil&amp;nbsp;   To save life or to destroy it?   They were more concerned about the law than freedom for the man&amp;nbsp;     Stretch out your hand&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;   He looks at all of them and then at the man he stretch out your hand&amp;nbsp;   The man did&amp;nbsp;   He was completely restored&amp;nbsp;   They were furious and began to discuss what to do about Jesus&amp;nbsp;      Calling the Disciples&amp;nbsp;   This is the third portion of Scripture that we have read that reminds us to pray&amp;nbsp;   Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray&amp;nbsp;   He spent the night praying to God&amp;nbsp;   After spending time with God, he called his disciples and chose 12 designated disciples&amp;nbsp;   Disciples means learner or follower&amp;nbsp;   Apostles means sent one&amp;nbsp;   Simon peter&amp;nbsp;   Andrew   James&amp;nbsp;   John   Philip   Bartholomew   Matthew&amp;nbsp;   Thomas   James&amp;nbsp;   Simon   Judas (Jude)   Judas- the traitor&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;   &amp;nbsp; What can we learn?   Jesus Lord over All&amp;nbsp;   He is not a secret healer.
