This year was the first time I lived life without my dad, and for the first half of it, I was really just trying to understand why or how I could have avoided my dad passing. I felt numb with no care but just many unanswered questions. I soon realized I did everything I could have done, and life has its weird ways of manifesting itself. However, there are also lessons to be learned even when we might not see them at the moment. 2023 might have been a year of struggle, challenges, and financial checks for many.
