A rare event for Hammer, this feature is a direct sequel to its predecessor, The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), beginning with Victor Frankenstein escaping the guillotine. A dastardly chap, that Frankenstein. A new series of shenanigans begins as Frankenstein, now known as Doctor Stein, continues his experiments. A surprisingly serious take on the character and Shelley\u2019s story follows Peter Cushing\u2019s Doctor Frankenstein instead of Christopher Lee\u2019s Monster.
