He served on 20 dissertation committees. He was a Visiting Scholar at Johns Hopkins University Center for Fire Safety Research and Policy.    He is a board member of the Fire Service Psychology Association and Expert Technical Reviewer for National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program.  In 2021 he was inducted into the National Fire Heritage Center\u2019s Hall of Legends.    His book is: \u201cI Can\u2019t Save You and Don\u2019t Want Die Trying: American Fire Culture.\u201d    About the Host Richard B. Gasaway, PhD, CSP is widely considered a trusted authority on human factors, situational awareness and the high-risk decision making processes used in high-stress, high consequence work environments.
