It was a success.    She was in remission for 9 years, then relapsed. She only learned of the relapse after an injury endured while snowboarding and went for a regular routine check up. As a young adult, she was treated at VGH and had a bone marrow transplant, with thanks to her incredible brother who served as her donor, her lifeline.    Her 3rd time facing cancer was now 7 years ago, only 6 months after she first met Kirk.   A 6X5inch adrenal tumour was discovered and fortunately, a surgical procedure to excise the Tumor was 100% successful. Despite all that she's faced, she's also professionally modelled, has achieved a degree in business, and has worked for the Yellow Pages Group for almost 15 years as a top sales rep in media sales!   She's also given back to the cancer community in every way she can- she's volunteered at Camp Good Times (summer camp for kids with cancer) and has sat on the board of the Michael Cuccione Foundation.     No matter what you are facing today, hold on to hope and actively seek out inspirational role models like Genevieve!     Tag your friends who may need inspiration and follow along here @60daystolive2012 for more stories of hope, resilience and inspiration to be empowered to overcome your hard days and to live today with more vitality and joy!
