If you\u2019re considering adopting and becoming a transracial family, it\u2019s important that you understand everything that entails-not only for your family, but for the child you are bringing into your family too.   Racial mirrors are beneficial in this situation, because they\u2019re someone you and\/or your child can build a solid relationship with. Ultimately, you should be acknowledging your child\u2019s ancestral background, no matter what age they came into your family. There will be some kind of void there, and it\u2019s important to not let a big disconnect come into play.
