I\u2019ve read it before, but the other day I was going through my Audible account and saw Start With Why by Simon Sinek, and after listening to the first couple of hours, I was inspired.  In the book, Simon talks about how people don\u2019t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. This struck home for me as I reflected on the different shapes my business has taken over the years. Throughout this episode, I chat about my \u201cwhy\u2019s\u201d and the \u201cwhy\u2019s\u201d of the people I work with and how they\u2019ve impacted my business. I also tell a couple of stories about different organizations I\u2019ve been involved with and how their why\u2019s have touched my life. Knowing your \u201cwhy\u201d is what allows you to build deep relationships with your clients. Think about that for a moment. What are you selling to your clients? Are you selling them features? Because selling features is the wrong approach to building a lasting business. Building and nurturing relationships are the ways to create a strong and meaningful foundation and you why is the basis of that relationship. There aren\u2019t a lot of places for property managers and property management companies to come together and discuss their why\u2019s for being in business.
