  <title>CA090: 6 ways to measure success</title>
  <description>6 ways to measure success&#13;
Have you thought about what success looks like to you? If so, how do you measure your success?&amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
Actually the first question is &amp;amp;ndash; do you need to to measure success?&#13;
We say yes. &amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
One, because when you measure your success it makes you think about it.&amp;amp;nbsp; What is success and what does it mean to you? It makes you aware of what you want in life or business, rather than wandering aimlessly.&#13;
Two, it gives you something to aim for, and we know that as humans we thrive and are generally happier and more fulfilled when we have a sense of purpose.&#13;
Three, what gets measured gets done.&#13;
&#13;
It is impossible to escape the impression that people commonly use false standards of measurement &amp;amp;mdash; that they seek power, success and wealth for themselves and admire them in others, and that they underestimate what is of true value in life.&amp;amp;rdquo; ~&amp;amp;nbsp;Sigmund Freud, Civilization and Its Discontents&#13;
&#13;
So how do you measure success?&#13;
That depends on the sort of success it is. Here&amp;amp;rsquo;s 6 ways to measure success &amp;amp;ndash; or 6 different types of success and our (some obvious and some not so obvious) suggestions of how to measure them.&amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
