  <title>Deron | Gangstercast 79</title>
  <description>This episode of The Gangstercast is orchestrated by Deron, who is the Managing Director at Paradise Distribution, and Label Manager for Dirtybird. This is what he had to say...&#13;
&amp;amp;ldquo;When I started buying records in 1996, I lived in Portland, OR, and it was primarily breakbeat and progressive house in the stores. While I enjoyed (trying) to match beats, I wasn&amp;amp;rsquo;t fully passionate about the music I was finding. A buddy from LA came to visit one day and had Doc Martin&amp;amp;rsquo;s &amp;amp;rsquo;Unlock Your Mind&amp;amp;rsquo; CD. The very first song was the Cevin Fisher &amp;amp;lsquo;The Way We Used To&amp;amp;rdquo; acapella, and then DJ Sneak's &amp;amp;ldquo;Latin Seoul&amp;amp;rdquo; comes in. With the first bounce of those beats, I knew that was the type of music I&amp;amp;rsquo;ve been trying to find, and the quest began.&amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
Those specific Sneak beats I heard were literally the spark that inspired my 20 year passion for House music, which has become my full time career.&amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
While I kept on the hunt for anything that sounded like the type of House music I heard that day (with several Sneak records in the bag), it was a couple years before I actually got to see Sneak play live, and it was exactly what I expected&amp;amp;mdash;funky, deep,&amp;amp;nbsp;tech,&amp;amp;nbsp;vocals, long mixes, nothing pre-planned &amp;amp;hellip;. and never letting up from the first record.&#13;

This mix I did for the Gangstercast is based on those bits of inspiration I got from Sneak 20 years ago. Funky, deep,&amp;amp;nbsp;tech,&amp;amp;nbsp;vocals, long mixes, nothing pre-planned &amp;amp;hellip;. and never letting up from the first record.&#13;
As the world tends to come full circle, here it is two decades later and not only have we become good friends, but I also work with him and his team to distribute his music to the world.&amp;amp;nbsp;Hopefully to light many more sparks.&amp;quot;&amp;amp;nbsp;&#13;
