Meet me in YAIT Town as we gather at Umoja Café, stroll through the Community Garden, and settle onto the Front Porch for a conversation about Keti Koti—a Black freedom celebration that changed the way I think about freedom. Together, we'll discover what Keti Koti is, why it matters, how it connects with Juneteenth, and what both celebrations can teach us about freedom, our shared history, and the work of closing the Freedom Gap. We will also discuss the freedom gap: The difference between what was promised and what is received!
