Saugel outlines the 1,300-patient IMPROVE trial in 15 German centers, individualizing the lower intervention threshold to each patient’s preoperative nighttime MAP versus routine MAP 65, with a 7-day composite outcome; no significant difference was found and event rates were ~30%.
