Overcoming Fear w/ Erin Black of Lyla Tov Monsters

Erin Black uses the skills she has learned working as a professional costume designer and technician to oversee patterning and fabrication of the Lyla Tov Monsters. Erin’s familiarity with monsters goes back over ten years to when she started working a s costume designer for Sesame Street at the Jim Henson Company-a job which earned her two Emmy awards.  She has also taught costuming at NYU as well as working as a freelance illustrator, sculptor and designer for television, film and live theater.
Current Business: Lyla Tov Monsters
Definition of Success: Being able to juggle the Mom I want to be, but still being the person and professional that I want to be. 
Huge Time Savers: Using a laundry service, hiring a Nanny and meal planning.
Girl Time: Mom weekend getaways.
