When Addiction Hits Close to Home :: Lindsey Cross’ Story :: [Episode 376]
Addiction touches countless families. Nearly half of U.S. adults say they’ve had a close friend or family member struggle with drug or alcohol dependency. Yet even in the darkest places, there is real hope, healing, and redemption through Jesus.   In today’s episode, Lindsey Cross, who shared at one of our newest Storytellers Live gatherings in Mobile, Alabama, invites us into her story. On the outside, her family seemed to have it all together, but beneath the surface, her husband was quietly battling addiction.   With honesty and courage, Lindsey shares the shock, heartbreak, and unraveling that followed this discovery. But more importantly, she points us to the steady, redeeming work of God, who meets us in our pain and, through His grace, mercy, and unfailing love, brings beauty from ashes.   VERSE OF THE WEEK: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
