What it Really Takes to Start Over Currently, the fastest-growing practices do not work harder because they reposition smarter. Consequently, you might wonder what you would do if you had to start over in a new market without a built-in patient base. Actually, that is exactly what Dr. Maryam Zamani has done more than once. First, she began her career in Toronto by joining an established practice. Subsequently, she moved to Southern California to join a different practice. Today, she has built a &amp;quot;practice within a practice&amp;quot; in Beverly Hills. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most competitive markets in the world.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Interestingly, several factors make her journey fascinating.   Initially, she did not rely on her history.   Instead, she rebuilt her reputation each time.   Furthermore, Zamani leveraged associations with strong practices to gain traction faster.   Moreover, she used the geography of Beverly Hills to elevate her perceived value and credibility.   Ultimately, she understood that growth is not just clinical.   Rather, growth is highly strategic.   Typically, most surgeons think growth means acquiring more leads and doing more procedures. Consequently, they believe it requires more hustle. However, sometimes the real move involves repositioning yourself in the right environment. Additionally, it means rebuilding smarter.
