S3 | 14. You Don’t Have to Do This Alone (A Field Group Conversation)
This episode was originally recorded in mid-2025 after a live round of The Field. I’m resharing it now as part of Season 3, with the full permission from the women who shared so openly, as the reflections in this conversation feel deeply aligned with the themes we’ve been exploring recently. In this episode, I’m joined by three women - Carola, Maryline, and Natalie - who had just completed a 12-week journey inside The Field, a small-group mentorship experience for compassionate equestrians. This is an honest, unfiltered conversation about what actually happens when you stop trying to fix yourself, stop doing everything alone, and allow yourself to be supported - even (and especially) when life is tender. Together, we explore: navigating self-doubt, grief, fear, and emotional overwhelm learning to trust your intuition instead of copying others how pressure and urgency soften when safety is prioritised the difference between knowing what to do and being able to embody it how relationships with horses shift when your relationship with yourself changes being witnessed in grief, uncertainty, joy, and growth - without needing to perform why integration, not intensity, creates lasting change You’ll hear about: stepping away from traditional and performance-driven approaches rebuilding trust after heartbreak and loss allowing emotions to move without needing to fix them discovering that you don’t need to be healed to experience joy and the quiet but powerful confidence that emerges when you feel safe to be where you are This isn’t a polished “before and after” story. It’s a real snapshot of women in the work - moving through the messy middle with honesty, compassion, and support.
