From 1991 to 1996, he&amp;nbsp;was a researcher at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory and then at the Information Science Institute until 2000. He is a Fulbright&amp;nbsp;scholar and a Fellow of the ACM, IEEE, AAAS, and IFIP. From 2009 to 2015, he was the editor-in-chief of the ACM Transactions on Privacy and Security (TOPS).
