Er studierte am Shri Nalanda Institut in Rumtek / Sikkim die buddhistische Lehre und Philosophie. Anschliessend unterrichtete er am Karma Lekshey Ling Institut in Kathmandu. Danach absolvierte er das traditionelle Drei – Jahres – Retreat im Kloster Pullahari in Nepal.
