Beyond Radio Presents - Castlist 014 - Ep 5 - Song Of The Summer Part 2: Wow, A Rabbit Hole with Cheese at the End

After the playlist misstep at the end of the last episode, we resume with the real playlist. This episode features a great Uber story, the most bizarre of my 8 year history. A long defunct band surfaces with a new song, appropriate for the discussion. This begins the rabbit hole and a prolific singer/songwriter/producer touches a lot of artists and songs I love. Through this I discover a 2006 song by the artist that I fell in love with instantly. A second song from my Song of the Summer contender reveals a connection to my first favorite artist and inappropriate kissing of mothers. Before we move onto the next playlist entry (which won't happen until the next episode) I have Jeff listen to an '80s nugget my sister reminded me about that is pure cheese. This leads to an unexpected Leif Garrett reference. Jeff's daughter makes a guest appearance at the end and agrees the song is a karaoke keeper. Primary Songs discussed Royal Republic/Wow! Wow! Wow! Marvelous 3/Psalm Of The Summer Butch Walker/Hot Girls In Good Moods Royal Republic/Superlove Sheriff/When I'm With You
