  <description>Boundaries serve to protect you in all areas of life, especially in relationships and work. &amp;amp;nbsp; In a relationship, boundaries are so important to protect not only yourself but your partner. &amp;amp;nbsp;Because once boundaries are crossed both parties are disrespecting themselves. &amp;amp;nbsp;Any disagreement can only get worse if boundaries are crossed. &amp;amp;nbsp; In this society we praise being selfless which fosters the idea that we should not have boundaries. &amp;amp;nbsp;Boundaries are your vault to protect what is most essential to you and who you are. &amp;amp;nbsp;Without them, everything that is important to you is given up as a free for all. &amp;amp;nbsp;And eventually you will feel empty. &amp;amp;nbsp; We need to take care of ourselves. &amp;amp;nbsp;We need to be the caretaker for ourselves and not be the caretaker for others. &amp;amp;nbsp;Your only responsibility is yourself. &amp;amp;nbsp;You are not responsible for others. &amp;amp;nbsp;You can have the desire to help others, but you're not responsible for other people's problems. &amp;amp;nbsp;That is what I feel is the root of the pain of selflessness. &amp;amp;nbsp;Selflessness means that all that is important to you no longer exists.&amp;amp;nbsp; Follow Michael at: Twitter Facebook healfromthegroundup.com&amp;amp;nbsp; </description>
