Steve shares his story from growing up as one of five siblings to a single mother, to his different working careers through to becoming Australia's first official UFC Referee. It's always difficult to be in positions where everyone can scrutinise your actions and I don't envy any Judge or Referee in combat sports! That said, Steve takes it all in his stride and really focuses on the people around him in life. I also found it interesting to hear his stories from pawn broking, sign writing to starting in Hapkido to the impact that a 'friend' can have on your life.
