Making Friends After Age 50

It has been a bit since Making Waves at C-Level has had a new episode. I am trying to get back into it. As a host I have been recording "Austin Tech Connect" for the past 17 months (the official Podcast of the Austin Technology Council).... and it has been all I have had the bandwith for until now. This first episode is about making friends as we get older. Too often people are feeling lonely in our society, and this is true for people of all ages. If you want to make friends at any age, you have to get involved in your community. And what is a community...it is anything where people come together and feel a connections. At work, in an industry, in a city, in a faith community, etc.... Joining alone is not enough, you have to be active. But if you dive in, show up, volunteer, and take an interest in others, you will make friends over time. Will everyone want to be your friend? Nope. So do not assume it happens magically, but you need to give to get. So if you want to have new friends, go out and be a friend. I look for ideas for future topics. https://thomsinger.com
