They provide alternative perceptions and interpretations to help their clients reach decisions. This is not usually included as something that is part of coaching.  Teams are able to work more effectively if each member is encouraged and willing to communicate their strengths and weaknesses.   To encourage honesty, ask each team member to voice their level of belief in a decision and then address any doubts or concerns that arise.  Prioritizing respect and humility is the key to effective leadership.
